Overview

The Phillips Graduate University School Psychology Master's Program provides future school psychologists with a solid academic foundation in both psychology and education.  The program and faculty are committed to the development of each student’s academic knowledge and professional skills, complemented by self-awareness, regard for others, and respect for cultural and individual differences.

Career Paths

The School Psychologist credential obtained at Phillips Graduate University permits candidates to work in any California public school. After additional experience and licensure, they may
also work in alternative settings:
 
• Private practice, offering services in psychological counseling, psychological assessment and testing, parent education and training, and consultation. • Public and private agencies as educational psychologists.
• Hospitals and other in-patient settings as educational psychologists. • Four-year and community colleges as disability specialists or college psychology faculty.
• Consultants to private and governmental agencies regarding children’s developmental, learning, and social-emotional issues as well as in research and program design.
