Office of the Provost

Welcome to Phillips Graduate University!
Almost fifty years ago a group of psychologists got together and established a training facility for the new field of family therapy. They called it the California Family Counseling Center – or CalFam. Over the years the institution has evolved into Phillips Graduate University. Phillips offers graduate education and degrees in Marriage and Family Therapy, Art Therapy, Organizational Management and Consulting, School Psychology, School Counseling, Pupil Personnel Services, and Child Welfare and Attendance.
Of course, these degrees and certifications are available at other schools, but we believe the Phillips experience is unique and inimitable. Courses are taught by experienced teachers and licensed clinicians, still practicing in their fields. We have grown, but we are still small enough to provide individual attention, and a meaningful relationship between faculty and students.
Phillips graduates can be found working all over the greater Los Angeles area and throughout the country – in schools, corporations, private practice, mental health agencies, county agencies, anywhere that human relationships, communications, and interactions and require an expert. Perhaps Phillips is the place for you to train for new opportunities and a new season in your life.
Thank you for visiting our website. I hope you will also come and visit our campus.
